Do I need to install any plugin on my WordPress website?

No! Zero WordPress plugins are required. The plugin uses WordPress's native built-in REST API (/wp-json/wp/v2/posts) which is active by default in standard WordPress installations.

How often are blog posts synchronized into Shopware?

Synchronization runs automatically in the background via Shopware Scheduled Tasks. You can also run instant manual sync anytime via the CLI command bin/console bay20:blog:sync.

Can I change the blog URL slug in the storefront?

Yes! You can configure any blog path (e.g. /blog, /news, /magazin, /journal) under Extension Settings > Blog URL path / slug.

What happens if a post is deleted or unpublished in WordPress?

If "Hide posts that no longer exist in WordPress" is enabled (with limit set to 0), deleted or unpublished WP posts will automatically be flagged inactive and hidden from your Shopware storefront.

Are featured images and author names supported?

Yes! Featured images (with alt text), author names, publish dates, categories, and tags are imported automatically via WordPress REST API _embed parameters.

Is authentication required for public WordPress blogs?

No. If your WordPress blog is public, leave the Username and Application Password fields empty. Authentication is only needed if your WordPress REST API is restricted or private.
