About the Extension
External Order ID in CheckoutAllow your B2B customers to enter their own purchase order or reference number directly during the checkout process.
The Problem
In B2B commerce, customers need to match orders with their internal accounting systems. Shopware only provides its own internal order number, which has no meaning for the purchasing department of your customer. Without an external reference field, customers must track orders manually — leading to support requests and frustration.
The Solution
This extension adds a dedicated input field to the checkout confirmation page where customers can enter their own PO number, reference number, or internal order ID before placing the order.

- Checkout confirmation page — customer enters their reference number
