Put your Shopware 6.6 shop to work with your AI assistant

e.sy mcp shop connect makes Shopware 6.6 accessible to suitable AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Query your shop data and execute permitted tasks directly in the shop: update products, edit categories, change order states or manage settings.
The plugin brings the Admin MCP tools from Shopware 6.7 to the Shopware 6.6 version line. Your shop can stay on 6.6.x and use the corresponding MCP capabilities through a separately installable plugin.

From queries to changes

Search and filter products, orders and other available entities. Retrieve individual records or aggregated values and provide the assistant with the data structures it needs. Creating, updating and deleting entities is also supported where permission is granted. Shopware's permissions, write protection and data validation continue to apply.
Additional tools support order, payment and delivery states, system configuration, theme settings and media uploads. Available actions depend on the assigned permissions and the rules of your Shopware installation.

You control access

The connection uses a native Shopware integration with individually assigned roles. Grant only the read and write permissions required for your intended tasks. The plugin configuration also lets you specify which MCP tools, resources and prompts an integration or user may use.

Preview changes first

Entity changes, deletions, state transitions and configuration changes use preview mode by default. Persistent writes occur only when the client explicitly requests execution. Media uploads execute immediately and do not have a preview mode. Try your workflow in a test environment first.

Connect your AI client

The plugin provides your shop's MCP endpoint. Your client must support Streamable HTTP and suitable authentication. Whether Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini can connect directly depends on the particular application and its connection flow. An additional gateway may be required and is not included in the plugin. The EsyShopmate chat application is also a separate extension.

Requirements

You need a self-hosted Shopware 6.6.x installation, PHP version 8.2 or later and the Shopware Storefront package. The plugin serves Admin API access by integrations and users. It is intended exclusively for Shopware 6.6.x. Setup requires access to the Administration and the configuration of your chosen MCP client or gateway.
