Easily comply with EU Regulation 2025/1960
From 27 September 2026, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 requires new labels in online commerce: the harmonised notice on the legal guarantee rights (Annex I) for all goods, and the GARAN guarantee label (Annex II) for products with a free manufacturer durability guarantee of more than 2 years. This extension automatically adds both labels to your shop, correctly formatted and compliant.
Legal guarantee notice with zero maintenance effort
After activation, the official, non-editable notice appears on every product detail page and on the checkout confirmation page. The language automatically follows the shop language (all 24 EU official languages, English fallback). The included QR code links to the official "Your Europe" portal and is also provided as a regular link (accessibility).
GARAN guarantee label: per product or centrally per manufacturer
Maintain the GARAN label in the way that fits your catalogue:
- Per product via custom fields: confirm the guarantee, enter duration in years (whole or half years, label from 2.5 years), brand, and model identifier. Done.
- Centrally per manufacturer: store the guarantee once on the manufacturer, optionally restrict it to specific categories via a clickable category tree (subcategories are included automatically). The model identifier is taken automatically from the product's manufacturer number, optionally with the product number as an additional fallback.
Optionally you can define once, globally, that the manufacturer number and, failing that, the product number is used whenever the model identifier is empty. The model identifier on the product is then no longer mandatory, and an entry there still takes precedence.
Different guarantees per product group
If a manufacturer grants different guarantees depending on the product group (for example 10 years on mattresses, 3 years on pillows), you map this via the GARAN guarantee assignments. You find them under Catalogues › GARAN guarantee assignments (also under Settings › Extensions). For each assignment you pick a dynamic product group, set the guarantee duration and a priority, and optionally restrict the context with a rule (for example sales channel or period). If several assignments match a product, the highest priority wins. The check order per product is clear: first the data on the product, then a possible exclusion, then the guarantee assignments, and finally the manufacturer rule.
Label PDF after purchase
The label should reach your customer on a durable medium after the purchase. For this, the extension creates a PDF for every order with the legal guarantee notice (Annex I) and the GARAN labels of all items with a guarantee.
- Download in the customer account: Customers download the PDF in their order details. Guests use the link from the email and confirm with their email address and postal code.
- Attachment to the order confirmation: If you wish, the extension attaches the PDF to the order confirmation (off by default). An item limit (default 45) protects against oversized emails.
- Building block for your own email templates: A download link can be added to HTML and plain text templates. This also helps with manual sending from the administration, where no PDF is attached.
- State at the time of purchase: The label data is stored with every order. Later changes to a product or manufacturer do not change existing orders.
Orders placed before the update have no PDF.
Thoughtful presentation
- Selectable position: below the buy box or below the product description
- Optional accordion display (deliberate opt-in with confirmation dialog): the legal guarantee notice shows only the official blue header banner, the GARAN label shows the nested format required by the EU including the guarantee duration. A click opens the complete label.
- In checkout, the GARAN label appears space-saving on each qualifying cart line item, and the legal guarantee notice is displayed clearly next to the order summary
- Also covers purchase flows that bypass the product detail page (quick buy, cart from listing)
Official graphics, clean implementation
The label graphics are taken unchanged from the EU Official Journal. For the GARAN label, only the three elements that are editable under the regulation are replaced (duration, brand, model identifier). Variants inherit all relevant data from the parent product, and the shop cache is updated automatically after saving, so changes are visible in the shop immediately.
