Professional Event Tracking for Shopware – simple, precise, and privacy-compliant

With this app, you capture essential e-commerce metrics such as cart values, product views, and purchases directly via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Use your data efficiently to build effective dynamic remarketing campaigns. The configuration is kept intentionally simple: just enter your Google Tag Manager or Analytics ID in the app configuration, and you’re ready to go. In addition, we provide a ready-made template for Google Tag Manager (GTM), allowing you to quickly and easily import all supported events into your GTM container.

Sehr einfache Integration. Wir haben einige Plugins ausprobiert. Aber entweder waren diese zu kompliziert, da man den Google Tag Manager einrichten musste oder Sie haben mit unserem Theme und Consent Manager nicht zusammen funktioniert. Hier hat alles auf Anhieb funktioniert. Top!

Leider funktioniert bei dem Plugin Conversion Tracking (Google Ads) nicht. Test Event feuert nicht und Live Event feuert auch nicht. Alle Optionen probiert. Schade

Schade für diese Bewertung. Wir haben wirklich einen super Support und wir hätten das bestimmt gelöst, aber Sie hatten sich ja nicht einmal bei uns gemeldet und trotzdem 1 Stern für den Support gegeben, vielen Dank dafür ;) Ich vermute das ist ein Problem im Zusammenspiel mit Ihrem Theme, das kann vorkommen, aber dafür sind wir ja auch als Support da.

Installation Guide

Install the app in your Shopware administration under Extensions → Apps → Upload & Install.

Set Up Google Tag Manager

You can find assistance with Google Tag Manager here:
Google Tag Manager Support

Sign in to your Google Tag Manager account or create a new account.
Create a new empty container for importing the default settings.
- For advanced users: You can also use an existing container and merge them later. However, we explicitly recommend using a new container.
Download our prepared template: bilobait_gtm_v1.json
Open the downloaded JSON file with a text editor.
Replace the following placeholders using "Find & Replace" with your individual values:
- ###ACCOUNT_ID###: Your Google Tag Manager Account ID (from the URL: /accounts/xxxxxxxxxx/).
- ###CONTAINER_ID###: Your Container ID (from the URL: /containers/xxxxxxxxxx/).
- ###CONTAINER_NAME###: Name of your GTM container (visible in the GTM header).
- ###GTM_ID###: Your Google Tag Manager ID (format: GTM-XXXXXXXX).
Double-check that all placeholders have been correctly replaced.
Import the adjusted file into GTM under Admin → Import Container.
Delete tags you don´t need or add additional ones as needed.
In GTM, switch to the Variables section on the left and fill out all constants starting with X.X# ....
Check all settings with the Preview function, then publish them via Submit → Publish.

Important: Final Test

Thoroughly check the events in your shop in the browser. Ensure that all events are triggered correctly and that no tracking occurs when cookies are declined.

Set Up Google Analytics

Enter your Google Analytics ID in the app configuration and enable the app.

Advanced Configuration

Enhanced Conversions (optional)

Enable the option in the plugin.
Set up enhanced conversions following this Google Ads Guide. Choose "Global Site Tag" as the tag type and then "Edit Code".

Dynamic Remarketing

Select the appropriate feed type key in the app configuration:

retail, education, flights, hotel_rental, jobs, local, real_estate, travel, custom

FAQ

Why are no events being fired anymore?
The most common cause is custom themes, custom consent managers, or ad blockers.

Where can I find my GA4 ID?
Create a property in Google Analytics and navigate to "Data Streams → Web". You will find the GA4 ID in the top right (Measurement ID). Google Help

Important:
Disable other Google Analytics integrations if you are using this app.

Where can I find the Conversion ID?

Sign in to Google Ads → Tool Icon → Measurement → Conversions. Open the desired conversion; you will find the Conversion ID there.

Where can I find my Google AdWords ID?

Google Ads Account → Tool Icon → Setup → Account Information → Account ID.

Alternatively, check the URL: The ID follows __c= in the URL.
