About the Extension
Premium products, made-to-order items or long delivery times: when the full amount is due immediately, many customers abandon the purchase. Ultimate Finance – Deposit adds a dedicated "Deposit" payment method to your checkout: the customer pays only part of the total up front, the remainder is due later. You get a single order with one invoice total – deposit and remainder are handled as partial payments on Shopware's native payment status.
How it works
When a customer selects the "Deposit" payment method at checkout, the plugin calculates the deposit according to your rules and displays it prominently on the confirm and finish pages – the cart total itself is never changed. Right after the order is placed, the customer automatically receives a payment request e-mail including your bank details and the order number as the payment reference. The plugin creates the required flows on activation – there is nothing to set up in the Flow Builder, yet you can customise the e-mails and flows at any time.
- Four calculation modes: percentage, fixed amount, amount tiers or percentage tiers based on order value
- Gross or net calculation base, rounding to whole amounts, steps of 5 or 10
- Minimum deposit amount, automatically capped at the order value
- Payment request e-mails for deposit and remainder in English and German – automatically in the language of the order
Full control in the admin panel
The "Deposits" module under Orders shows all deposit orders at a glance: deposit due, amount already paid, open remainder and payment status. You confirm incoming payments with one click ("Deposit received", "Remainder received") and request the remaining payment with one click as well – the e-mail is sent automatically. A reconciliation check warns you whenever the payment status and the booked amounts do not match.
Booked cleanly, managed safely
All amounts are processed to the cent, every booking is permanently recorded and never overwritten – corrections and refunds are entered as traceable counter-bookings with a mandatory comment. Shopware's permission system lets you control which staff members may confirm payments or book corrections. Because the payment state runs on Shopware's native statuses ("Paid partially", "Paid"), ERP integrations and other extensions remain compatible.
