Your own consents in the checkout – with proof
Checkout Check extends the Shopware 6 order confirmation with your own, fully configurable consent checkboxes – in addition to the built-in terms box. Collect exactly the consents you need for Instagram tagging, newsletters, WhatsApp notifications, sharing data with review platforms or your own approvals – and be able to prove them at any time.
Every checkbox can be required or optional. Required checkboxes are enforced server-side: without the checkmark, no order is placed. Optional consents can be secured with double opt-in – the customer confirms by email, and the consent is stored with a timestamp.
The key point: every consent given is recorded as an audit-proof snapshot in the order – with the exact text at the time of purchase. Even if you change the checkbox later, the original record is preserved. The central consent overview in the marketing area shows, across all orders, who gave which consent and when – searchable and filterable.
Customers can revoke their consents at any time themselves: logged in via their account, or as a guest via a link in the order confirmation. A revocation deletes nothing – it additionally documents the time, so it remains fully traceable that the consent was valid at the time of purchase.
Checkout Check also offers conditional notice texts that only appear when a specific product or category is in the cart – including all subcategories. Ideal for notices about food (cold chain), bulky goods (freight delivery), hazardous materials or delivery times. These notices are purely informational, require no consent and block nothing.
Everything is configured conveniently in the admin – no code, multilingual and per sales channel. The plugin follows the recognized principles for consent (no pre-ticked boxes, no bundling requirement for the newsletter, revocation as easy as giving consent) and is built with accessibility in mind.
