About the Extension

This app offers the possibility to prevent changes to personal information, e-mail address and/or the billing and/or shipping address and if necessary to deactivate the address book completely. It is also possible to prevent the customer from changing the payment method.

In addition, it is possible to block the checkout process for certain customer groups.

Hervorragende Erweiterung & exzellenter, schneller Support

Die Erweiterung funktioniert zuverlässig und ermöglicht es, bestimmte Kundengruppen daran zu hindern, Rechnungs- oder Lieferadresse, Zahlungsarten oder sogar den gesamten Bestellvorgang zu ändern. Die Installation und Einrichtung verliefen unkompliziert und verständlich.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich jedoch den Support: Der Kontakt war äußerst freundlich, schnell und lösungsorientiert.
Mir wurde sogar ein individuelles Update speziell für meine Shopware-Version bereitgestellt – und das in beeindruckend kurzer Zeit. Dieser Service verdient ausdrücklich ein großes Lob!

Vielen Dank an das Team für den hervorragenden Support und den sehr angenehmen Austausch.

Fazit: Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Erweiterung mit außergewöhnlich gutem Kundenservice.

Die Möglichkeit die Adressen mit Bezug auf Regeln anzupassen ist genial. Sie bietet sehr viel Flexibilität.

Auch der Support des Plugins ist sehr Lobenswert. Es wird gut auf individuelle Probleme eingegangen und schnell reagiert.

Installation

Install the app via the extension manager in the Shopware 6 Admin. After installation, open the app configuration and configure it according to your needs. You can also configure the settings for each sales channel. You can find more information on the respective settings in the help texts via the ? symbol.

You can edit the storefront texts of the app via the text modules in the Shopware 6 Admin.

Addresses

Shopware does not distinguish between billing and shipping addresses by default. If you have activated the address logic, such a distinction takes place in order to better control the restrictions of addresses.

When activating the toggle in the admin, an initial assignment of address types is made: The addresses of customers that were previously selected as the default shipping address automatically receive the address type “Shipping address”. Those addresses that were previously selected as the default billing address receive the type “Billing address”. If an address was set as both the default shipping and default billing address, it receives the type “Both” in the background.

In many cases, however, there are additional addresses that are not selected as the default shipping/billing address. The plugin cannot perform an automatic assignment for these. Therefore, a notice appears in the frontend for customers indicating that addresses without a type exist. The admin also receives a corresponding message upon login. The shop owner has the option to assign address types in the administration interface. The screen can be found here:

In the first step, you select addresses using the checkboxes. You can then assign a type to all selected addresses via a bulk assignment. Note: Please think about the appropriate type beforehand, as once an assignment is made and the page is reloaded, the addresses will no longer appear in the list. Of course, you can still change individual addresses and their type via the “Customers” view and the “Addresses” tab in the detailed view of each customer.

The complete assignment of address types is a one-time process. Once all addresses have a type, you no longer need to assign them manually. Instead, in the “Addresses” section of the logged-in user’s account in the frontend, two areas are displayed: “Shipping” and “Billing”. Each of these sections now includes a “Create new address” button. If the user clicks the button in the shipping address section, the address will receive the type “Shipping address” in the background. The same applies to billing addresses.

If you do not allow selection from existing addresses, no new addresses can be created. If you restrict both billing and shipping addresses, the address book will be completely disabled.
