About the Extension

With "Bronn Minimum Quantity Surcharge" you automatically add a surcharge to orders below a configurable minimum order value. The plugin is ideal for B2B shops and wholesale shops where small orders are not economically viable.

You define up to three independent tiers, each with its own threshold and surcharge. The surcharge can be calculated as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the difference to the threshold. As soon as the cart value reaches the threshold, the surcharge is automatically removed.

In the cart, the surcharge appears as a separate, non-removable line item with a transparent description. On product detail pages, an optional hint widget displays the current surcharge status with a progress bar – so customers can see in real time how much more they need to order to avoid the surcharge. The widget updates automatically via AJAX with every cart change.

The calculation can be based on either net or gross values. Individual categories can be excluded from the calculation, and the surcharge can be restricted to specific customer groups. Optionally, a configurable tax rate is applied to the surcharge.

All settings are configurable per sales channel and conveniently managed through the plugin configuration in the backend.
