Does the plugin catch products that were deleted before installation?

Yes. The three-tier lookup system scans Shopware's SEO URL history, so it can find and redirect old product URLs even if they were deleted before the plugin was installed.

Does the plugin affect page load speed?

No. The plugin only activates when a 404 response would normally be returned. Regular page loads have zero overhead.

What happens if a deleted product belonged to multiple categories?

The plugin first checks for a main category assignment. If none exists, it picks the deepest (most specific) category the product was assigned to.

What happens if no matching category is found?

If the "Fallback to homepage" setting is enabled (default), the visitor is redirected to your homepage. Otherwise, the normal 404 page is shown.

Is the plugin GDPR compliant?

Yes. IP addresses are never stored in plain text. Only a SHA-256 hash is saved in the redirect logs, and logs are automatically cleaned up after the configured retention period.
