Configuration Manual

Step 1: Basic Configuration

Navigate to: My Extensions → CKOUVerificationDocuments → Configuration

Configure the core upload settings:

Number of documents: Select how many upload fields to display (0–5)
Required documents: Multi-select which fields are mandatory for registration
Maximum file size: Set the limit in MB (default: 2MB)
Accepted file types: Comma-separated list (default: pdf,jpg,jpeg,png)

Step 2: Customize Labels & Messages

Navigate to: Settings → Snippets

Create translated labels for each upload field:

The plugin pre-creates CKOUVerificationDocuments.global.document1.label and .help as examples
For additional fields, create:
- CKOUVerificationDocuments.global.document2.label
- CKOUVerificationDocuments.global.document2.help
- (repeat for document3, document4, document5)
Customize any warning, error, or success messages in the same snippet namespace

Step 3: Configure Email Templates

Navigate to: Settings → Email Templates

Locate the templates prefixed with "CKOU | "
Duplicate each template you intend to use (recommended practice)
Customize the duplicated templates with your branding and messaging
Assign the duplicated templates to your flows

Important: The plugin removes its default templates on uninstall. Duplicating ensures your customizations are preserved.

Step 4: Set Up Automated Flows

Navigate to: Flow Builder → Templates

Install the pre-built flow templates and customize them:

Admin | Documents require review – notify admin when status becomes "Processing"
Customer | Application Approved – email customer on approval
Customer | Documents Requested – email customer when more documents needed
Customer | Application Rejected – email customer on rejection

Application Status Reference

Processing – Admin needs to make a decision
Requested – Customer needs to upload documents
Approved – Verification complete
Rejected – Application denied

Step 5: Adjust Default Registration Flow (Optional)

Navigate to: Flow Builder → Flows

If you want the plugin's events to control all registration emails:

Find and deactivate the default "Customer account registered" flow
This prevents duplicate emails and lets your custom flows handle all communication

Step 6: Configure Admin Permissions (Optional)

Navigate to: Settings → Users & Permissions → Roles

Create granular access for different staff members:

View only – Staff can see documents but not modify them
No delete – Prevent accidental or unauthorized document removal
Full access – Managers who can download, upload, and delete documents

Security tip: For safety reasons, consider allowing view-only access and disabling delete/override capabilities.

Step 7: Configure Conditional Upload Fields via Flow Builder (Advanced)

Navigate to: Flow Builder → Create New Flow

Override the global configuration on specific pages:

Trigger events available:

Account Registration Page
Checkout Registration Page
Checkout Confirm Page

Use rules to conditionally display fields:

Example: Show a required upload field on checkout if:

Products in cart are age-restricted (18+)
AND customer verification status is NOT "approved"

Configure per-field settings:

Label/help text (via snippet keys)
Required/optional
Allowed file types and size limits

This allows different verification requirements for different customer segments or product types without changing global settings.
