The Dropdown Quantity Selector is a Shopware plugin that intelligently prioritizes actual stock levels and significantly reduces the risk of overselling. Instead of a traditional input field, it offers a clean and intuitive dropdown menu that automatically reflects available inventory, displaying only realistically orderable quantities.

Thanks to its built-in stock intelligence, the plugin uses the recorded inventory as the maximum selectable quantity—even for non-clearance items, as long as stock is greater than zero. It also takes minimum order quantities and packaging units into account, ensuring that the selection remains logical and transparent for customers. This greatly enhances the user experience while minimizing overselling risks.

For performance reasons, the dropdown displays up to 500 quantity options. If stock exceeds this threshold, customers can manually order larger quantities via custom quantity modal box.

Important: Customers can still manually enter higher quantities in the cart than those shown in the dropdown. While this means overselling remains technically possible, the plugin significantly reduces its likelihood by offering intelligent pre-selection on the product detail page.
