About the Extension

"Successor product in product detail" links discontinued or replaced products directly to their successor — no manual redirects or custom fields required.

Every product gets its own "Successor product" tab where you assign exactly one successor per product, toggle the assignment on or off, and optionally block further purchases of the old item. The data is saved together with the product itself — no separate save step needed.

On the storefront, a notice with image, name, SKU and a link to the successor product appears right in the buy box. Optionally, the buy button of the old product can be replaced by a warning message so customers can no longer order the discontinued item.

The assignment is maintained on the main product and automatically applies to all variants. All texts can be adjusted via the snippet management and already ship in German and English.
