About the Extension
QuickAuth adds passwordless login to Shopware 6. Instead of remembering a password, your customers receive a one-time code (OTP) by email or SMS, enter it, and they are signed in. Password login stays available, so you add a faster path without taking anything away from shoppers who prefer it.
Why a code beats a link
A login link sent by email often opens in the email app's in-app browser, or in a different browser than the one the shopper started in. The new session lands in the wrong place, the cart and checkout context are gone, and the login appears to fail. This is worst exactly where it hurts most: on mobile and during checkout.
A one-time code avoids the problem. The customer types (or auto-fills) it into the browser and device they are already using. Nothing switches contexts, so login is far more reliable where it matters most.
Built for checkout
Forced account creation and login are a known cause of cart abandonment; studies such as the Baymard Institute find that roughly a quarter of shoppers abandon when forced to create an account or log in. After entering the code during checkout, QuickAuth returns the customer to the exact step they left, rather than dropping them back at the cart or homepage.
Email or SMS, your choice
Send codes by email, by SMS, or both. SMS is delivered through the Commercewerk gateway, Twilio, or Vonage. On mobile, SMS codes support autocomplete/autofill for one-tap entry, and the international phone-number field auto-formats and validates input. You can restrict SMS by country with an allow or block list and write your own SMS message templates. Prefer to keep it simple? Email-only mode hides the phone option entirely and runs fully password-free by email. Returning customers can link a phone number in their profile for even faster repeat logins.
Control and configuration
Set how long a code stays valid and apply rate limits for resend interval, request caps, and login-attempt limits. Run independent configuration per sales channel, enable passwordless login globally or only at key steps such as checkout and login, and customize the legal text and consent notice to match your shop.
A note on privacy
We do not make claims we cannot keep. One-time codes are encrypted, single-use, expire automatically, and are removed after login. In email-only mode, nothing is sent to third parties. When SMS is used, the phone number is sent only to the provider you chose, solely to deliver the code.
Made for Shopware 6
Built exclusively for Shopware 6 and compatible with versions 6.5.0.0 through 6.7.x, with independent configuration per sales channel for multi-store setups.
