About the Extension
Meet your WEEE obligations — without friction in the order flow
If you sell electrical or electronic equipment in the EU, you are legally required to take back a matching old device free of charge when a new one is purchased — the so-called 1:1 takeback under § 17 ElektroG (Germany) and the EU WEEE Directive. In distance selling, this must be actively offered — not just on request.
daturexWeeeReturn extends your Shopware 6 store with exactly this feature: for eligible products, the cart shows an additional row with a checkbox, tooltip and WEEE symbol. Your customers decide with one click — the information is persisted in the order in an audit-proof way and is immediately available to you and your logistics.
Three-state display in the admin
At a glance in the order detail, you see for each line item whether takeback was requested, declined, or not offered at all. This three-way distinction is essential for compliance reporting: you can prove that the offer was made — and whether the customer consciously accepted or declined.
