Description of the plugin

With the plugin "More tabs for the product detail pages (own tabs, properties, manufacturer, and more)" you can extend the product detail pages with additional tabs, including stand alone tabs for the properties and the manufacturer of a product. You also have the option to fill your own tabs with your own content via a TINYMCE field and offering them to the product. All tabs can also be displayed in front of the rating tab and arranged in your position you desired.

Furthermore, it is also possible to fill the content of a tab, which should be the same for all products (for example shipping information), with the option "fill tab 1 via a snippet" (this is possible for every tab). In this case you can fill the tab via a snippet without having to deposit the same content for all products and to handle all products if changes are made.

The snippets would be:

hiding the avatar (portrait)
hiding the title (title)
hiding the author (byline)

Das Plugin macht genau das, was es soll: es bietet die Möglichkeit, zusätzliche Informationen zum jeweiligen Produkt in eigene Tabs zu verteilen. Die Einbindung von YouTube - Videos und PDF - Datenblättern funktioniert auch kinderleicht. Zusätzlich kann man auch noch die Eigenschaften in ein eigenes Tab verschieben, um noch mehr Ordnung in den Beschreibungstab zu bringen. Top!

Wir haben uns mit unserem Programmierer für dieses Plug In entschieden, weil es den Zugriff und das Layouten von Zusatzinformationen in unserem Shop wesentlich vereinfacht. Zudem ist die Admin des content einfacher zu handeln für unsere Mitarbeiter, die nur den Content verantworten.

Hallo Herr Illig, gerne helfe ich Ihnen bei der Herausforderung weiter. Was bedeutet denn, dass Plugin lässt sich nicht aktivieren? Schicken Sie mir ruhig einen Screenshot des genauen Fehlerbildes. Ich bin mir sicher, wir können das Problem ausräumen.

Leider habe ich scheinbar die Beschreibung etwas falsch verstanden. Letztlich will ich einfach ein Tab für Downloads mit PDFs haben. Dies scheint aber nicht möglich zu sein. Hatte es so der Dokumentation entnommen. Ich will nicht, dass die PDFs direkt geladen und geöffnet werden. Zudem wird ständig die Detailseite bei mir nicht geladen, wenn ich das Tab auf PDF Name stelle.

Brauchbares Plugin mit Seiteneffekten

Eigentlich ein ganz nützliches Plugin, allerdings mit Seiteneffekten. Die sehr nützliche Funktion zur Umwandlung von PDF-Links im Quelltext in echte HTML-Links beeinflusst auch andere Tabs, die PDF-Dokumente verlinken und können manchmal durch die automatische Ersetzung eigentlich funktionierende Links doppelt zu Links machen und damit unbrauchbar.

Der Support war hier leider eher abwiegelnd (nicht verantwortlich für andere Plugins), was grundsätzlich ok wäre, wenn denn dieses Plugin nicht in fremden Tabs manipulieren würde.
