Installation - Admin

Purchase and download the plugin from the Shopware Store or obtain it from your developer
Upload the plugin via your Shopware Administration panel:

Installation - Manual via Composer and Command Line

This module is intended to be installed using Composer:

[ composer require digi-percep/manufacturers-pro-shop-by-brand ]

After composer installation, run the following commands from your root Shopware installation directory:

./bin/console plugin:refresh

./bin/console plugin:install --activate DigiPercepManufacturersProShopByBrand

For storefront changes:

./bin/build-storefront.sh

For administration changes:

./bin/build-administration.sh

For theme compilation:

./bin/console theme:compile

Clear cache:

./bin/console cache:clear

Verify Installation:

Go to your Shopware Admin > Settings > System > Plugins, and you should see "Manufacturers Pro - Shop By Brand" listed and active

Managing Manufacturers

Accessing Manufacturer Management

Navigate to Catalogues → Manufacturers in the Shopware Administration
Click the "Add manufacturer" button to create a new manufacturer
The manufacturer grid displays existing manufacturers with columns: Name, Website, Link, Description, and additional custom attributes, i.e., Featured, Show in Brand List, Hide if no Products, Meta Title, Meta Description, and SEO Keywords

Basic Manufacturer Information

Name: Enter the manufacturer/brand name (required field)
Link: Add the manufacturer's website URL (e.g., https://www.brandname.com)
Logo: Upload the manufacturer's logo image for display on brand pages
Description: Add detailed information about the manufacturer that appears on their dedicated brand page

Extended Custom Fields

The plugin extends the core manufacturer functionality with the following custom fields:

Featured: Toggle to mark manufacturer as featured (displays in the featured brands slider on the brands page)
Show in Brand List: Control whether this manufacturer appears in the main brand listing page
Hide if no Products: Automatically hide the manufacturer from the frontend if no products are assigned to it
Meta Title: Custom SEO title for the manufacturer's page (appears in browser tab and search results)
Meta Description: SEO description that appears in search engine results for the manufacturer page
SEO Keywords: Comma-separated keywords to improve search engine optimization for the manufacturer page

Importing and Exporting Manufacturers

Import Manufacturers

The plugin provides bulk import functionality to add multiple manufacturers at once:

Navigate to Catalogues → Manufacturers
Click the "Import" button in the manufacturer listing page
Select your import file format (CSV or JSON)
Download sample files to see the correct format and required fields
Click "Select File" and choose your prepared CSV or JSON file
Upload and process the import file

Export Manufacturers

Export your existing manufacturers for backup or bulk editing:

Navigate to Catalogues → Manufacturers
Click the "Export" button in the manufacturer listing page
Select which columns to export (all columns or selected)
Choose export format (CSV or JSON)
Download the exported file

Assigning Manufacturers to Products

Product Manufacturer Assignment

Assigning manufacturers to products is straightforward:

Navigate to Catalogues → Products
Create a new product or edit an existing one
In the General Information section, locate the "Manufacturer" field
Click the dropdown and select from all available manufacturers
Save the product to apply the manufacturer assignment

Once assigned, the product will automatically appear on that manufacturer's dedicated brand page and be included in the brand's product count.

Plugin Configuration

The plugin provides comprehensive configuration options in the Shopware Administration:

Navigate to Extensions → My Extensions
Find "Manufacturers Pro - Shop By Brand" and click on "Configure"

General Settings

Show manufacturers without products: Toggle to display or hide manufacturers that have no products assigned
Enable featured manufacturers: Enable or disable the featured brands slider on the brands page
Enable manufacturer search: Show or hide the search functionality on the brands page
Enable alphabet filter: Enable or disable the alphabetical filter buttons on the brands page

Display Settings

Default sorting: Choose how manufacturers are sorted on the brands page
Name (A-Z): Default alphabetical sorting from A to Z
Show manufacturer descriptions: Display or hide manufacturer descriptions on brand-specific pages
Show product count: Display the number of products available for each manufacturer
