About the Extension

Shopware already includes an integrated CAPTCHA system, but the “Forgot password” form is not protected by it by default.

This plugin extends the existing Shopware CAPTCHA functionality specifically to the password recovery form.

After installation, the CAPTCHA configured in Shopware is also displayed when customers request a new password. Validation is performed server-side using Shopware's existing CAPTCHA validation.

The plugin intentionally does not provide its own CAPTCHA system. Configuration therefore remains entirely within Shopware and no modifications to the Shopware core are required.

It is ideal for shops that want to reduce automated password reset requests and bot activity on the “Forgot password” form.

The only requirement is that a CAPTCHA is already enabled and configured in Shopware.
