Digitdrive AI Connector centralizes the core AI provider settings in Shopware 6. Merchants can manage API keys, models, endpoints and runtime limits in one place, while other Shopware plugins can use stable backend services for provider status, model metadata and protected AI calls.

What the plugin is for

Many AI-enabled extensions need the same foundation. Without a shared layer, shops end up with repeated API-key fields, separate model lists and inconsistent error handling. The connector provides one technical base for shops that use or plan several AI features.

Core capabilities

Central provider profiles for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, Azure OpenAI and OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
Model catalogue with technical capabilities such as chat, JSON, vision, tools and reasoning.
Backend services for other Shopware plugins through Symfony dependency injection.
Invoke-only completion service so integrations do not receive raw keys through standard Admin responses.

Controlled data handling

The plugin does not send customer, order, product or shop data to AI providers by itself. Data is transmitted only when an integrated backend feature explicitly performs a provider call. Merchants remain responsible for checking provider terms, privacy obligations and the concrete processing purpose.

Who is Digitdrive AI Connector for?

The connector is for merchants, agencies and plugin developers who use or plan multiple AI-enabled Shopware extensions. It centralizes provider setup so API keys, model choices and status checks do not need to be repeated in every plugin.

Does the plugin generate AI content by itself?

No. Digitdrive AI Connector provides provider configuration, model metadata and protected backend services. It only contacts an AI provider when another integrated backend feature explicitly triggers a provider call.

Which AI providers can be configured?

Profiles are available for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, Azure OpenAI and OpenAI-compatible endpoints. The actual usable models and capabilities depend on your provider account and configured credentials.

Does the plugin send customer or order data automatically?
