About the Extension
Description
With this plugin, categories and their products can be controlled flexibly using the Rule Builder. Define rules to make categories visible only for specific customers, customer groups, countries, time periods, or other conditions. The availability is automatically applied to all products within the respective category, including inheritance to all subcategories.

How it works
A category can be linked to a condition rule. If the rule is active, both the category and all assigned products are only displayed when the defined condition is fulfilled. Subcategories automatically inherit the rule from their parent category, allowing entire category trees to be controlled easily.
Products
Products are only hidden when no valid category is assigned anymore. A product remains visible as long as it is assigned to at least one category whose rule is fulfilled or for which no active rule is defined. Assigning a product to a category with an unfulfilled rule does not automatically hide the product. This prevents products from disappearing unintentionally when they are assigned to multiple categories.

Instructions
- Install the extension
- Configure the extension according to your requirements
- In the categories under Catalogues → Categories you will find the new section "Restrict / allow category by rule"
- Enable the checkbox and select a valid rule from the Rule Builder
- The category is only available if the rule evaluates to true in the sales channel
