Insights: Statistics & Reports

About the Extension
Insights turns the figures Shopware already holds into dashboards you put together yourself, reports you can actually work through, and a margin you can stand behind. There is no SQL anywhere in it.
What arrives with it
- Eight dashboards, laid out and ready: Overview, Sales, Customers, Catalogue, Operations, Marketing, Profitability and After Sales. One per job, rather than one enormous page.
- Eighty-four widgets in four kinds: KPI tiles that carry a previous-period comparison and a trend line, tables and rankings, charts in twenty shapes from a line to a treemap to a scatter plot, and a heatmap of the week.
- Forty-three reports, filed in five drawers: Sales, Products, Customers, Marketing and Operations. Where a widget is a glance, a report is a working list - the whole result, a page at a time, ordered by whichever column you click and downloadable as CSV.
One panel narrows the whole page
Period, sales channel, country, customer group, account type and the order, payment and delivery statuses apply to every widget on the dashboard at once. The period runs from rolling windows and whole calendar months and quarters through a range typed by hand to all time. A filter only touches a widget that asked for it, so narrowing by order status changes the turnover tile and leaves the product count alone.
Margin, not only turnover
Shopware records what the goods on an order line cost. Insights puts that where it can be added up, so margin, profit and profit over time become ordinary figures beside revenue. Orders placed before the extension was installed are worked out in the background from what their products cost, and a settings panel shows exactly how much of the history has been answered for and how much has not.
Your own questions
Everything shipped is read-only, and duplicating one is how you start from it: the copy is an ordinary record you can change in every way the original cannot be. Building one from nothing means picking an entity, a figure and something to group it by. Computed fields work out margins, shares and ratios from the figures already in the query. A dashboard can be offered on Shopware's own start page, and Shopware's statistics section there can be switched off so nobody reads turnover twice.
Roles and figures
Four roles ship with it - view, edit, create, delete - and a dashboard can be restricted to a set of them. Someone who may read the figures does not need API access to the orders behind them: dashboard results are aggregated behind the extension's own privilege.
What it deliberately does not do
Anything resting on visitor behaviour - page views, unique visitors, conversion rate, search terms - needs a tracking layer, and Shopware's core stores none of it. Insights reports on what the shop has recorded: orders, customers, products, payments, deliveries and what they were worth.
English and German throughout, including the names of everything it ships with.
