About the Extension

Control payment methods precisely. Use cart values intelligently.

Not every payment method fits every order value. Small amounts on invoice? For guest customers? High sums by credit card? That should be in your hands.

This plugin gives you control.

Define a minimum and maximum order value for each payment method. Payment methods that don't match the current cart value are automatically hidden in checkout. No manual intervention. No error messages. No customer confusion.

How it works

Configuration happens where you expect it: directly in the settings of each payment method. No separate menu, no detours.

Activate the limits. Enter minimum and maximum values. Done.

The plugin checks the cart value at every checkout. If the value doesn't fit the configured range, the payment method disappears. Invisible to the customer, predictable for you.

Intelligent control with the Rule Builder

Limits alone aren't always enough. With the integrated Rule Builder connection, you define additional conditions:

Three real-world scenarios

Scenario 1: Invoice only up to €500

High order values increase the risk of payment defaults. Limit purchase on invoice to a maximum order value of €500.

Cart €300 → Invoice available

Cart €750 → Invoice not available

Scenario 2: PayPal only up to €1,000

For large carts, payment providers like PayPal cause high transaction fees. Limit PayPal to smaller orders to save costs.

Cart €250 → PayPal available

Cart €1,500 → PayPal not available

Scenario 3: Credit card only for premium customers between €100 and €1,000

Offer specific payment methods only to selected customer groups. In this example, credit card is only available for premium customers within a defined order value range.

Premium customer, cart €80 → Credit card not available

Premium customer, cart €500 → Credit card available

Guest customer, cart €500 → Credit card not available

Are shipping costs included in the calculation?

No. The plugin only calculates the goods value (products/articles). Shipping costs, fees, and other surcharges are not included. This enables precise control over actual product values.

Do I have to set BOTH minimum AND maximum values?

No. You can also set only one of the two values: - Only minimum order value: Payment method available from this value onwards - Only maximum order value: Payment method available up to this value - Both values: Payment method only available in the defined range

Can I activate limits only for specific customers?

Yes. Through the Rule Builder integration, you can assign Shopware rules. This allows limits to be activated only for guest customers, specific customer groups, or sales channels.

Does the plugin work with all payment methods?

Yes. The plugin works with all payment methods configured in Shopware – both standard payment methods and third-party plugins like PayPal, Mollie, Stripe, or Klarna.

What does the customer see when a payment method is hidden?

The customer simply doesn't see the payment method in the selection. There's no error message or notice – the filtering happens transparently in the background.

Are the limits checked in real-time?

Yes. With every cart change (add product, remove, change quantity), the availability of payment methods is rechecked. The selection updates automatically.

Can I set different limits for different currencies?

Limits are configured in the default system currency. In multi-currency shops, values are automatically converted.
