About the Extension

By default, Shopware sends product images and the desktop preview image to Linked for product pages and the homepage. This plugin enables this for categories. You simply select your desired image from your media library using the plugin.

The plugin checks whether the custom field linkedin_preview_image is set.

If it is, the corresponding media ID is loaded.

The actual image is retrieved using searchMedia().

The URL is then set as a <meta> tag for OpenGraph, Twitter, and itemprop="image".

If no image is set, a fallback (e.g., the theme’s default logo) is used.
