About the Extension

Automated category visibility scheduling for Shopware 6

This plugin lets merchants define exactly when each category appears in the storefront. Configure time windows — weekly (for example "every Sunday 12:00 to 15:00"), cron-style or one-off — and a background task activates and deactivates the category at the right moments. Storefront cache is invalidated automatically through the Shopware DAL, so shoppers always see the correct state.

Outside the open window the category can either return 404 or serve a configured fallback page — a custom CMS landing page or a fully translatable built-in template — with the correct HTTP 503 Service Unavailable status and Retry-After header for search engines.

Best suited for stores running recurring promotions, flash sales, B-stock clearances, seasonal collections and scheduled product launches where the marketing team needs full control over timed visibility without developer involvement.

Installation and usage

Install through the standard Shopware Plugin Manager in minutes. Configure inside the admin — a "Visibility schedule" tab is added to every category detail view, and a dedicated overview module lives in the main navigation. Global defaults sit in Settings → Scheduled Category Visibility, including the global fallback CMS page and translatable built-in template texts.

Why use this plugin?

Scheduled category visibility is not available natively in Shopware 6. Rule Builder can restrict purchasing during a window but cannot hide a category. Dynamic Access requires the paid Shopware Evolve plan. This plugin delivers a standalone solution with clean integration into the existing administration.

Does the plugin handle the Shopware cache correctly?

Yes. Every visibility change is performed through the DAL, which automatically invalidates the HTTP cache and the internal category indexes.

Can I schedule multiple categories independently?

Yes. Each category has its own schedule and the overview module displays the status of all configured schedules at once.

Do I need server access for setup?

No. Everything is configured through the standard Shopware administration panel without any cronjob scripting.

Does the landing page return the correct HTTP status for SEO?

Yes. The plugin returns HTTP 503 Service Unavailable along with a Retry-After header, signalling temporary unavailability to search engines.
