Advanced Category Hide lets you dynamically hide selected categories from the main navigation, footer, and service menu in your Shopware 6 store. Each category can be hidden globally, conditionally based on the visitor's language, or based on rules defined in the Shopware Rule Builder.

The plugin is ideal for multilingual stores that need different navigation structures for different markets, and for stores using advanced customer segmentation scenarios.

Installation and Usage

After installing and activating the plugin, navigate to any category in the administration panel. A new "Visibility" tab will appear where you can set the hide mode, select languages, and assign rules. Global plugin settings (which navigation sections to filter, behaviour for direct access) can be found in the extension configuration.

Does the plugin work with multiple languages simultaneously?

Yes. You can select any combination of languages for which a category should be hidden. Each language is configured independently per category.

Are hidden categories still accessible via direct URL?

It depends on the configuration. You can choose to show a 404 page, redirect with 301 to a chosen category, or redirect to the parent category.

Does the plugin affect store performance?

The plugin uses direct SQL queries and automatic cache invalidation. Navigation filtering happens in memory and does not generate additional database queries on each page lo

Can I hide categories only in the footer but not in the main navigation?

Yes. In the global plugin settings, you can select which navigation sections should be filtered independently.

Does the plugin support per Sales Channel configuration?

Yes. All global settings can be configured separately for each Sales Channel.
