About the Extension

Super Mega Slider for Shopware 6 Shopping Experiences

The Super Mega Slider is a Shopping Experiences element for Shopware 6.7 with up to 5 slides. Each slide has its own background, a text layer and up to two buttons. Setup needs no code and is done directly in the Shopping Experiences editor.

Backgrounds

Image, with separate images for desktop, tablet and smartphone
Colour, with a freely selectable aspect ratio
Local video from the Shopware media manager, muted and looping
YouTube video, embedded via the youtube-nocookie.com domain
All four types can be combined freely in one slider

Text and buttons

Title, subtitle and description text (HTML) per slide
Two buttons per slide with their own text, background and border colour, border width, corner radius and font size for desktop and mobile
Transparent button backgrounds via RGBA value
Info box position left, centre or right
Font family, font size and colour of the texts can be set

Controls

Arrows inside or outside, navigation dots and their colours
Optional automatic rotation with adjustable duration and animation speed, plus a start/stop button
A YouTube video is paused as soon as an arrow is used

Privacy

Local videos and images come from your own shop, so no requests to third parties occur. With a YouTube slide, the visitor's browser loads the video from YouTube when the page is opened; the plugin does not ask for consent. Whether consent is required is for you to decide as the shop operator.

How many slides can I create per Shopping Experience?

Up to 5 slides per slider element, each with its own background (image, video, YouTube or colour), text and up to two buttons.

How is YouTube embedded with regard to privacy?

Local videos run without external requests. YouTube videos are embedded via the youtube-nocookie.com domain, but the visitor's browser still connects to YouTube when the page loads. The plugin does not ask for consent; whether one is required is for you to decide as the shop operator.

Does the slider affect my shop's loading time?

The impact is minimal. Images are loaded via the native Shopware media manager and benefit from its caching. A YouTube slide loads its video from YouTube.

Is the plugin compatible with my theme and Shopware version?

Yes, with any standard or third-party theme from Shopware 6.7.x onward. The slider is a native Shopping Experiences element and replaces no core template.

What is left behind if I uninstall the plugin?

With "Keep user data" the sliders in your Shopping Experiences stay in the database together with their settings, so they are back after a reinstall. Without this option, uninstalling removes all slider blocks and elements including their settings; only when the DreamTheme is installed do they stay, because the theme keeps displaying them. The plugin creates no tables, custom fields or plugin settings of its own.
