About the Extension

Your own CSS, without touching the theme

Great Custom CSS adds simple text fields to your shop settings where you can write your own CSS. No theme build, no file access, no developer needed. Save the setting and the style is live.

One field for every page type

Most solutions give you a single global CSS box. Everything you write there is loaded on every page, even where it is not used. Great Custom CSS gives you 19 separate fields instead:

Global, header and footer CSS for the whole shop
Product detail pages
Category and listing pages
CMS pages and landing pages
Cart and checkout
Search results
Customer account

The plugin checks which page the visitor is on and only outputs the CSS that belongs to that page.

Nine extra fields for Shopping Experiences

Styling CMS content is often the hardest part. That is why there are dedicated fields for text blocks, images and image sliders, videos, text and image blocks, product sliders, commerce elements such as buy box and cross selling, sidebar elements and forms. A free field for special elements is included as well.

Better PageSpeed

Because unused CSS is never sent to the browser, your pages stay small. This helps your Core Web Vitals and your Google ranking.

Safe and clean

Nothing in your theme is overwritten. Your CSS is stored in the shop configuration and stays in place after theme or shop updates. If you deactivate the plugin, all your custom styles are gone from the page immediately. Each sales channel can have its own CSS.
