Customer Behaviour Set — Two Cross-Selling Sliders

About the Extension
Customer Behaviour Set – two cross-selling sliders from real data
Shopware ships no cross-selling based on actual customer behaviour. Anyone who wants to show what others bought together, or viewed one after another, maintains the lists by hand. The Customer Behaviour Set delivers both in one plugin: two sliders on the product detail page, one from orders, one from page views.
Highlights
- Two sliders in one plugin – from order data and from view data
- Each slider switched off on its own, with its own period and item count
- Results cached for one hour – no query on every page load
- Arrows, colours and the number of columns freely adjustable
- One slim storefront script, no own CSS
Features in detail
- Customers also bought – from order line items: The plugin counts which products were most often ordered together with the one on screen. The period is 180 days by default, the number of products shown is 10 – both adjustable, separately per sales channel.
- Customers also viewed – from page views: The second slider evaluates which products other visitors looked at after this one. 60 days and 10 products by default. Both sliders run independently and can be switched off one at a time.
- Built-in safeguard on the order query: At most 2000 order line items per query. Even a bestseller causes no timeout, and the sample stays large enough for a reliable ranking.
- Cache with a one-hour lifetime: Results are kept in the Shopware object cache. Every combination of product, sales channel, period and limit gets its own entry; the database is asked only on the first call.
- The adjustments for the look: Arrow position inside or outside, corner radius, background colour, arrow colour, border colour, the same three again for hover, opacity of the arrow background, and the number of products per row. The slider fits into any theme.
- Order of the two sliders fixed: "Customers also bought" sits at position 1, "Customers also viewed" at position 2. Both appear one below the other in the content area of the product detail page.
- Only active, visible products: Both sliders filter on products that are active and visible in this sales channel. A deactivated product does not appear.
About this extension
Built update-safe. One subscriber on the product page event, one Twig include on the core slider. The block it touches is extended, not replaced – parent() is called, other plugins in the same block stay visible.
One own table for the views. The second slider needs a place to store page views; it is created on install and removed on a full uninstall. The order evaluation, by contrast, only reads the existing order tables and writes nothing.
Compatibility. Shopware 6.7.x. The slider uses Shopware's own slider component – it looks like every other product slider in the shop and takes on your theme's styling.
Data protection. No external server. The data comes exclusively from your own shop. For the view evaluation a reference to the session is stored; it stays in your database and never leaves the server.
What this plugin does NOT do
- It does not hide sold-out products – the filter is on active and visible, not on stock.
- It does not check the order state – an open order counts like a completed one.
- It replaces no core template; the block it touches is extended.
- It ships no own CSS – only a slim storefront script for the view evaluation.
- It is no replacement for Shopware's manual cross-selling lists, but a second, automatic source alongside them.
Two sliders, one extension – what was bought and what was viewed.
