About the Extension

Calculates the statutory disposal fee under packaging regulations automatically from the material weight of each product. The fee is displayed as a dedicated line item in the cart, at checkout and on the invoice.

How it works

Enter the packaging weight as a custom field on each product (paper in kg and/or foil in kg). The plugin multiplies the weight by the configurable rate per kg and calculates the disposal fee automatically.

Three display modes on the product detail page

Tab view — Two tabs "Total price" and "Product price". The total price includes the fee, the product price shows it separately.
Total price — A single price including the fee.
Separate — The pure product price with the note "plus disposal fee".

All modes show an expandable material breakdown with weight, rate and material type.

Transparent display in the cart

Each disposal fee appears as its own line item in the cart — with a recycling icon, explanatory text and an expandable breakdown by paper and foil. The fee adjusts automatically when the quantity changes.

Order confirmation and invoice

The disposal fee automatically appears as a separate line in order confirmations, invoices and delivery notes — with label, quantity and amount. No additional configuration required.

Does the fee appear in emails and invoices?

Yes. The disposal fee is shown as a separate line item in order confirmations, invoices and delivery notes — with label, quantity and amount. No additional configuration required.

Do I need to set the packaging weight on every product?

Yes. Enter the weight for paper and/or foil as a custom field on each product (in kg). Only products with at least one weight > 0 receive a disposal fee.

What happens when a customer changes the quantity in the cart?

The disposal fee is recalculated automatically whenever the quantity changes.

Can I set different rates per sales channel?

Yes. In the plugin configuration, select the sales channel at the top and enter custom rates for paper and foil.

How is the fee calculated?

The plugin multiplies the material weight (paper or foil) by the configurable rate per kg. When multiple material types apply, the individual fees are added together.

Fixed: on discounted products the crossed out original price, the percentage badge and the lowest price of the last 30 days disappeared when the product page was set to show the total price including the disposal fee. All three are shown again, with the fee included, so every figure on the page is a total price. Applies to single prices and graduated prices.

Fixed: an internal dependency declaration that caused the Shopware Store code analysis to stop early.

Fixed: the disposal fee was not shown on products with graduated prices. It now appears there in all three display modes.
Fixed: the fee is now converted into the currency of the sales channel.
Fixed: the fee is now correct for customer groups with net prices. A new setting controls whether the configured rates include VAT.
Fixed: a fee could stay in the cart after the material weights were removed from the product. The cart now recalculates.
Fixed: rounding. The fee per unit is rounded once and then multiplied by the quantity, so the amount per unit times the quantity always matches the line total on the invoice.
Fixed: variants without their own weights now inherit them from the main product.
Fixed: the disposal fee no longer appears on the delivery note. Invoices and credit notes still show it.
Fixed: very small weights that would produce less than one cent no longer create an empty line in the cart.
Fixed: opening a product page could end in an error message.
Changed: the fee line now carries the real quantity, so order confirmations and invoices show amount per unit, quantity and line total.
Changed: the material breakdown now shows the exact rate per kg and the resulting amount, so the figures always add up to the fee charged.
