About the Extension

Check delivery access before dispatch

Delivery Access Checker helps customers and merchants identify potential access problems before bulky products are dispatched.

For eligible products, customers can enter measurements for doorways, passages and elevator access. The plugin compares these measurements with the exact product or package dimensions, permitted orientations and merchant-approved handling options.

The result clearly explains which measurements were checked and whether the delivery appears suitable, requires further information or needs manual review.

How it works

Customers start the check directly from an eligible product page for their selected variant. Guided instructions help them measure relevant access points, including:

Door openings
Straight passages
Elevator doors and cabin dimensions
Other supported access measurements

Where access is uncertain or complex, customers can provide additional information, including optional access photos, for merchant review.

The assessment considers the configured package dimensions, permitted orientations and available handling options such as unpacking or removing product components.

The assessment result and relevant access information can be carried into the order so that staff can review unresolved access issues before dispatch.

Delivery Access Checker is intended for Shopware 6 retailers selling products such as:

Sofas and other large home products
Large appliances
Bulky equipment
Other products where delivery access can be a concern

Important limitations

The plugin provides dimensional screening of supported access points. It does not guarantee complete route clearance.

Complex stairs, turning areas, lifting equipment, structural restrictions and other physical conditions may require manual assessment. Missing, inconsistent or uncertain information is escalated for review rather than treated as automatically suitable.

Advanced 3D path planning, AR-based scanning and carrier or ERP integrations are not part of the initial release.

Reliable package dimensions and clear customer measurement guidance are required for meaningful results.
