About the Extension

Show every variant where shoppers decide

On a category page a shopper sees one image per product. If the colour they want is three clicks away, most of them never find it. Quick Color Variants puts the colour swatches, pattern images and sizes on the product card itself, so the choice happens in the listing instead of after a detour.

Built for Shopware 6.6 and 6.7. Verified against 6.7.14.

On the storefront

Colour swatches on the card — round or square, one or two tones, sized and positioned to suit your theme.
Image swap on hover — hovering a swatch replaces the product image with that colour's photo. No page load, no waiting.
Variant image carousel — a thumbnail slider of every colour; one click goes straight to that variant.
Sizes and other groups — a second property group (size, length, material) as selectable chips.
Quick buy — pick a colour and a size on the card and add it to the cart without leaving the listing.
Variant price on hover — the price updates to the colour the shopper is looking at.
Stock-aware — sold-out variants can be hidden, greyed out or struck through, and sizes update to match the chosen colour.
Variant badges — discount, "new" and low-stock badges for the variant in view.
Works on category listings and search results. Responsive down to mobile.

In the administration

Choose which property group is your colour group and which is your secondary group.
Place each component at any of eight positions on the product card.
Per component: always show, hide on hover, or reveal on hover.
Two-tone swatches — add a second hex code to any property option.
Limit how many swatches appear, with a "+N" badge for the rest.
Sort swatches by property position; sort sizes alphabetically.
Every setting is configurable per sales channel.
New features always ship switched off. Updating never changes your storefront until you turn something on.

Leider hatte es lange gedauert, bis es SW 6.6 kompatibel war, daher sind wir auf ein anderes Plugin umgestiegen.

Before you start

Quick Color Variants reads the property groups you already use for variants. It does not create or modify variants, and it changes nothing on your storefront until you tell it which group holds your colours.

You need at least one property group used as a variant dimension — typically Colour — and, if you want sizes on the card too, a second group such as Size.

1. Install and activate

In the Shopware administration, open Extensions > My extensions.
Find Quick Color Variants on Product Listing and choose Install.
Activate it, then open the ... menu and choose Configuration.

2. Choose your colour group

This is the only required step. Under Product variant groups, select the property group that holds your colour options. Until this is set, no swatches appear — the extension has no way to know which of your property groups contains colours.

Optionally select a secondary group for sizes, lengths or materials. Property groups outside these two are ignored on the listing card.

3. Place the components

Each component is positioned separately, at any of eight slots around the product card: before or after the image, the title, the description, or the cart button. Per component you can choose always show, hide on hover, or reveal on hover.

Note that the minimal and image card layouts expose only the two description slots; the standard card layout exposes all eight.

Settings are stored per sales channel

Use the sales channel selector at the top of the configuration page to give different storefronts different behaviour. A B2B and a B2C storefront can behave completely differently from the same catalogue.

Updates never change your storefront by surprise

The features added in version 3.2 — quick buy, variant price on hover and variant badges — are switched off by default. Updating the extension changes nothing until you deliberately enable them. An automated test on every release enforces this.

If something does not appear

No swatches at all — the colour group is unset, or set on a different sales channel than the one you are viewing.
Swatches show but the image does not swap — that colour option has no image. Assign images to the variants, or switch to using the property option's own image.
Styling changes do not apply — storefront styling is compiled into the theme. Run bin/console theme:compile, then bin/console cache:clear.
New settings missing after an update — run bin/console plugin:update IfizzQuickVariants, then reopen the configuration page.
