About the Extension
Let your customers register purchased products in their customer account with a serial or license number. In the form they select the product and enter the purchase date, the serial number and optionally the seller. The serial number can be validated with a regular expression. You also define how many days after the purchase a product can still be registered and which products and categories can be registered at all.
In the administration you see all registrations under “Customers”, search by serial number, edit or delete registrations and create new ones for your customers. An included import/export profile lets you export and import the registrations as CSV.
Possible fields of application are extended warranty options after product registration, discounts on later purchases, assignment to a special customer group and proof of ownership for the customer (e.g. the IMEI of a mobile phone).
