About the Extension

Writing a product passport is the manufacturer's job. Getting it onto the right product, in front of the customer, and knowing which items still have none is the shop's — and that is what this extension is built for.

Whether the product groups you sell are covered already or still have room to move, the work is the same, and it is not an afternoon's job. Collecting passport data across a whole catalogue takes months, so doing it steadily beats doing it against a deadline.

Printed codes that do not expire

A QR code on a label cannot be recalled. So the code never contains your supplier's address. It contains a short permanent code that points at your own shop, and where the passport actually lives stays an editable field behind it.

When a supplier moves their passport to a new address, you change one field and every label already printed, boxed and shipped keeps working. That means you can print packaging months in advance without betting on a web address staying where it is.

Know where your catalogue stands

A readiness overview shows how much of your assortment has a passport and lists the products that do not, counting product variants individually rather than only their parent products. From there you can open any uncovered product directly. It turns a vague obligation into a number you can work down.

For larger catalogues, passport references can be attached in bulk from a spreadsheet. Every import is previewed first, line by line, showing exactly what would be created, what would be updated and which rows would be rejected, so nothing is written until you confirm it.

Built for shops that sell in more than one language

Passport titles, summaries and content are maintained per language, and field labels follow the storefront the customer is actually on. A German customer sees a German passport page, not an English one with German values.

Where the passport comes from is your choice

A passport can point at a supplier's own page, be resolved through a GS1 Digital Link style address built from its GTIN, or be maintained entirely inside the shop for products you sell under your own name. Each passport carries its own validity dates, identifiers and economic operator, and stays reachable after it expires, because a product in someone's hands outlives the passport's validity period.

One place for passport data, whatever its source

Supplier passports, GS1 style addresses and content you write yourself all live in the same screen, follow the same assignment rules and produce the same customer-facing page. Adding a new supplier does not mean adding a new process.
