About the Extension

Orders that stall get a friendly reminder

An unpaid prepayment order, an order waiting for the customer: when nothing happens, the order simply sits there. Follow-Up Emails watches your orders and sends the customer a polite reminder once the order, payment or delivery status has not changed for the time you choose. Your team no longer has to keep track of open orders by hand, and customers are reminded before an order is forgotten.

You define up to three stages, for example a first reminder after three days, a second after seven and a last one after fourteen. Each stage has its own waiting time and its own conditions, so a reminder only goes out for the orders it is meant for.

Sent only when nothing has happened

Every change of a monitored status restarts the waiting time. When a customer pays or an order moves on, the next reminder is not sent, and an order that no longer matches a stage after the first reminder is recorded as skipped instead. Each stage goes to an order at most once, also when several queue workers run at the same time, and later reminders keep their distance to the previous one.

A start date protects existing orders: on installation it is set to the installation time, so no old order receives a reminder. A cap per hourly run keeps the first runs calm.

Built on the Flow Builder and your email templates

Each stage triggers its own Flow Builder event. On installation you get one ready flow per stage with the action "Send email" and a matching email template in German and English, which you edit under Settings > Email templates. You can add further actions to these flows, for example a tag or an internal notification.

A log in the administration shows for which orders a reminder flow was started and which reminders were skipped, and why: excluded payment method, excluded customer group, missing email address or an order that no longer matches. Whether an email was delivered is shown, as for every Flow Builder email, in the Shopware log and your mail server.

For order reminders, not advertising

The emails are transactional reminders about the customer's own order, not marketing, and contain no tracking. Used only this way, they need no advertising consent and no unsubscribe link. Advertising, review requests or product recommendations need the customer's consent and an unsubscribe option and must not be sent with this extension. The log stores only order references: skipped and failed entries leave it after 180 days, started entries are removed together with the order.
