About the Extension

1. Enable the plugin per sales channel After activation, open the plugin configuration and enable the features for the sales channels you want. Each sales channel is configured independently. If you serve B2B groups, you can exclude selected customer groups from the statutory notice.

2. Choose the notice placements and presentation Select which storefront positions show the notice: product page, cart, checkout confirmation and footer. For the product page and checkout confirmation choose between the always-visible full notice and a version that expands via link or button. Set the maximum notice width for each view.

3. Configure guarantee data Open a product and switch to the Guarantee tab. The guarantee can be configured here, inherited from the parent product, or inherited from the manufacturer. Set the duration in half-year steps, the producer brand, the model identifier (the product number is used automatically when left empty), the validity period and the terms as a URL or an uploaded document. The live preview shows exactly what will be resolved and displayed. Manufacturers can set the same values once as defaults.

4. Choose how the GARAN label appears For each storefront view — product page, listing, cart, off-canvas cart and checkout confirmation — select full, compact with dialog, text with dialog, or off, and set the label width per view. Labels only appear for products whose configured guarantee qualifies.

5. Install the official artwork Run the plugin's assets command to check the installation state and prepare the official files. Copy the official Commission artwork for the statutory notice and the GARAN templates into the expected directories, then re-run the command to confirm the checksums. The plugin refuses to render anything until the official files are present. The statutory notice obligations start on 27 September 2026.

6. Let validation run A scheduled task revalidates the catalogue daily and reports products whose guarantee data is incomplete, expired or no longer qualifying. You can run the same validation manually at any time for a single product, a manufacturer or the whole catalogue from the command line, and use the Store API endpoint for headless storefronts.

7. Configure the order confirmation Enable the order snapshot so every order records the applicable notice and guarantee data. The official notice PDF is attached to the confirmation email by default, and uploaded producer guarantee statements are attached automatically. Identical documents are attached only once.

Does the plugin make my shop legally compliant?

It supports the implementation of the EU legal-guarantee notice and the GARAN label: it renders only the official artwork, applies the qualification criteria and helps you find incomplete data. The final configuration should always be reviewed for your own legal situation.

Which languages can the notice use?

The plugin resolves the official asset for the customer's storefront language, falling back to another version of the same language and then to English. You add the official Commission files for the languages you offer.

When is the GARAN label shown?

Only when the configured guarantee passes every official criterion: offered by the producer, free of charge, covering the whole product, two years or more in whole half-year steps, with a producer brand and a model identifier available.

What happens if the official artwork is not installed?

Nothing is displayed. The plugin never substitutes or approximates regulated artwork; a CLI command reports which files are missing or outdated instead.

Is guarantee information preserved for past orders?

Yes. For every order placed while the plugin is active, an immutable snapshot of the notice and the per-item guarantee data is stored, used in the order confirmation and shown in the order detail page.
