About the Extension

Checkout Note gives customers a simple way to attach a personal note to any product before adding it to the cart. The note field appears directly above the "Add to Cart" button on the product detail page, making it easy to include a gift message, a special request, or any other product-specific instruction without leaving the page.

Notes That Stay With the Order

Once a customer adds a product to the cart, the note travels with it through the entire checkout process. Notes are stored individually per line item — so if a customer adds three different products, each one can carry its own separate note. After the order is placed, the notes remain attached to the order line items and are accessible to the entire team.

Visible Where It Matters

The note appears directly below the product name in the storefront cart, letting customers review their instructions before completing the purchase. In the administration area, a dedicated "Note" column is added to the line items grid in the order detail view. Order processing teams can see every note at a glance — alongside the product name, quantity, and price — without opening additional panels or searching through comments.

Ready Out of the Box

No configuration is required. The plugin works immediately after installation and activation. Built-in label and placeholder translations are included for English and German, and both can be customized through the standard snippet management in the admin if store-specific wording is preferred. There are no settings panels to configure and no additional steps to take.
