About the Extension

Keep selling while you are away or out of stock

Company holidays, a delayed delivery or a restocking phase usually mean lost orders: products show as sold out or customers wonder when their parcel will leave. Pre-Order Availability keeps your products orderable as pre-orders for a period you choose and tells customers openly when to expect the shipment.

On the product page a notice appears directly above the buy button, for example "This product is available for pre-order. Expected to ship from 15 November 2026." The date follows the language of the storefront, so German customers read "15. November 2026".

All products, sold-out ones or exactly the products you choose

Apply the pre-order to every product, for example while your warehouse is closed, only to products that are currently sold out, or to the products of a dynamic product group. On top of that, each product has its own pre-order setting on its detail page: always, only when sold out or never, with its own period and ship date if needed. Variants take over the setting of their main product unless you change it for a variant.

Sold-out products that are normally not orderable any more can be added to the cart and ordered during the pre-order period, and they stay visible even if "Hide products after clearance" is active. The variant selection, the delivery information and the structured data for search engines follow the pre-order as well.

Planned periods that start and end on their own

Set a start and an end date and time, and the pre-order starts and ends automatically, without any manual step on the day. Switch the feature off at any time and every product immediately returns to its normal availability. The plugin never changes your stock, closeout or availability data, so there is nothing to undo afterwards.

Always know what is running

The plugin configuration shows the current status for every sales channel: active, scheduled, ended or switched off, with period, products and ship date, and it warns about settings that cannot work, such as a ship date in the past.

Does the plugin change my products' stock or closeout settings?

No. The pre-order is evaluated whenever a product is loaded. Stock, closeout flag and all other product data stay as they are, and orders reduce the stock as usual. The product's own pre-order setting is stored in custom fields of the product.

Can I put only certain products on pre-order?

Yes. Choose "Only products in a dynamic product group" or "Only products with their own pre-order setting", or open a product and set its pre-order to "Always" or "Only when sold out". "Never" excludes a product even if all products are on pre-order.

What happens when the pre-order period ends?

From that moment the products show their normal availability again. Sold-out products can no longer be ordered, and carts that still contain them are corrected with Shopware's usual message "… is not available at the moment".

Can I set a different ship date per sales channel or per product?

Yes. All settings can be made for all sales channels together or for each sales channel separately, and every product can have its own ship date and period.

Is the notice shown in the product listing or in the cart?

The notice appears on the product detail page above the buy button. In listings, sold-out products keep Shopware's "Details" button, which leads to the product page with the notice.

Do I have to compile the theme?

No. The plugin works without a theme compilation or storefront build.
