In Shopware, it is not possible to change preview images for multiple product variants at the same time by default.

This leads to unnecessary manual effort and wastes valuable time, especially for products with a large number of variants.

This plugin closes exactly this gap.

With the plugin Preview images for variants – multiple changes, preview images (cover images) for multiple variants can be conveniently updated in a single step – directly in the Shopware administration.

How it works

After installation, the plugin adds a bulk-editing feature to the Shopware administration that allows you to modify variant preview images.

Simply select multiple variants of a product and assign the desired cover image to all of them in one step.

The existing Shopware logic remains completely intact – the plugin only accesses the preview images of the selected variants and does not modify any other product data.

Why must inheritance be removed from the main article?

As long as a variant inherits its image from the main article, it cannot have its own preview image. Inheritance must therefore be disabled in order to assign an individual cover image.
