About the Extension

Please mind: This plugin is an extension for the plugin "KILB Product Designer". You can only use this plugin if you already have the product designer installed.

This plugin will automatically create the designs of your customers in a file format you've chosen and - if you like - send these files to your e-mail address.

Supported file formats

✅ PNG: Very popular file format with transparency support.

✅ JPG: Also very popular file format with small file size.

✅ SVG with externally references graphic files: A popular vector format. Uploaded images and clip arts will be referenced via URL in the source code of the SVG. File size will be very small. Will work in most browsers but it's required to keep the image files on the server.

✅ SVG with embedded graphic files: A popular vector format. Uploaded images and clip arts will be embedded in the source code of the SVG. This will make the file size bigger. But it will work not only in most browsers but also common SVG viewers.

✅ PDF (RGB): PDF file in RGB color format, likely to be used for digital products.

✅ PDF/X (CMYK): PDF file using PDF/X standard & CMYK color format. Likely to be used for offline products you want to print on. ICC profile can be chosen in the plugin's configuration.

Requirements

There are no special requirements for the shop server.

It's important to set up Shopware's scheduled tasks properly. These tasks are necessary so that you server can run processes like sending & receiving design data and sendung mails in the background.

If you are not sure if scheduled tasks are set up correctly please contact your hoster and have a look into the Shopware documentation.

How it works

Generating of the files will be done by our rendering server.

Step 1: The customer orders a product with a product design in your shop.
Step 2: The design will be saved in the database of your shop and can be immediately viewed and manually rendered in your shop's backend.
Step 3: The rendering service plugin checks every minute if there are new designs to render. If so they will be send to our rendering server.
Step 4: Our rendering server will save these designs in a queue and soon generates the file.
Step 5: The rendering service plugin checks every minute if the rendering server already created the file. If so, it will download the file to your shop's server.
Step 6: The rendering service plugin checks every minute for files to send and - if so - sends a mail to your e-mail address.
Step 7: The rendering server deletes all the information that were necessary to render the file and the rendered file itself from it's storage system.
