About the Extension

Why this plugin?

Shopware only ships country names (country_translation) in your storefront's default language. As soon as you add a second language — French, Italian, whatever — the country dropdown still shows the German defaults: Deutschland, Vereinigte Staaten, Schweiz instead of Allemagne / États-Unis / Suisse. The official SwagLanguagePack also translates snippets but does not fill the country tables.

KommoraCountryTranslations closes that gap — automated, offline, no manual step required after install.

What this plugin does

On plugin activation, every combination of country × language is written to country_translation automatically.
Data source: Symfony/Intl backed by CLDR (Unicode Common Locale Data Repository) — the same reference data Google, Apple and Microsoft ship in their operating systems.
No external API call, no cronjob, no configuration.
250+ countries × 200+ languages — everything CLDR covers.

One-click refresh in admin

Under Settings → Shop → Country translations you get a dedicated admin module with two buttons:

Fill missing — preserves hand-edited translations, ideal after adding a new language or country.
Overwrite all — hard reset to CLDR defaults. Use to clean up manually broken entries.

After the click you get a success toast: e.g. 7721 translations written (32 languages × 250 countries).
