Right to Repair – EU 2024/1799 Compliance
EU Directive 2024/1799 requires retailers to inform consumers about product repairability and to grant the right to repair instead of replacement in case of defects. When repair is chosen, the warranty is extended by 12 months.
The Kommora Right to Repair plugin makes your shop compliant – with repairability scores, a customer repair portal and automatic warranty extension tracking.
Repairability Score
- Score A–E: Color-coded badge on product pages (A = very good, E = very poor repairability)
- Spare parts: Availability and duration in years
- Price level: Low, Medium or High
- Software updates: Availability and duration
- Manufacturer link: Direct link to manufacturer repair information
- EU notice: Label according to EU 2024/1799
Repair Request Portal
- Repair button: Directly on product pages, configurable for all customers or only after prior purchase
- Defect description: Modal dialog with free text and EU compliance notice
- Customer account: Overview of all repair requests under "My Repairs"
- Reference numbers: Automatic numbering system (RPC-XXXXXXXX) for tracking
Admin Management
- Overview list: All repair requests with reference number, customer, product, date and status
