About the Extension

Your own HTML, CSS and JavaScript, anywhere in your Shopping Experiences. Build a sale banner with a countdown, a size guide, a comparison table or embed a widget, without a theme plugin and without a developer for every change.

The "Prism Code Editor" block adds a code element to the layout editor. You write HTML, CSS and JavaScript in separate tabs, each with highlighting and line numbers, and see a preview of the result right in the layout.

Plugin installieren und gleich loslegen. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Vielen Dank! Eine Verbesserung wäre noch wünschenswert. Das man integrierte Inhalte (HTML, CSS und Javascript) noch zentrieren könnte.

Where do I find the element?

Open a layout in Content > Shopping Experiences and add the "Prism Code Editor" block from the "Text" category. In the element settings, enter your HTML, CSS and JavaScript in their own tabs.

Can other scripts use my variables?

The JavaScript of an element runs in its own scope. Assign variables and functions to window if other scripts need them.

How do I load a tracking or chat snippet only after consent?

Choose a cookie group under "Load after cookie consent". The cookie settings then list the element as "Additional scripts and content", and it only loads once the visitor accepts, without reloading the page.

Why doesn't my script run in the layout editor?

The preview in the layout editor shows your HTML and CSS in a sandbox and doesn't run scripts, on purpose. In the storefront, your JavaScript runs once the page has loaded.
