About the Extension
Help customers build the combination they need
Sell a coordinated kit, an accessory bundle or a product with individual options. Product Configurator brings the choices together inside your store. Use existing Shopware products and variants, organise them into steps and define which combinations are allowed. Customers can see their current selection and total, then add the configuration to the native cart.
Turn your product knowledge into useful guidance
Set compatibility rules using properties, custom fields or product attributes. A selected connector, for example, can determine which accessories fit. "Hard" rules prevent unsuitable combinations. "Soft" rules display warnings and can request confirmation, while recommendations highlight relevant options.
If a customer changes an earlier choice and an existing component no longer fits, the configurator explains the conflict using your message. Available compatible alternatives, choosing the step again and undoing the last change help the customer recover. You can enable automatic replacement when a suitable alternative is available.
Make the price part of the decision
Prices are recalculated on the server as the selection changes. Use standard product prices, individual option prices, surcharges or included components. Add discounts, fixed configuration prices or price limits. Quantity discounts can depend on the components within a configuration; tier discounts can depend on how many configurations are ordered. Configuration rules can activate selected pricing rules when their conditions match.
The summary brings the selected components and total together. Choose whether component prices are visible and whether customers can switch their display on or off. You can also control whether a configurator can be combined with Shopware promotions.
Offer a starting point without limiting the choice
Presets let customers apply a prepared selection in one click and adapt it afterwards. The product comparison helps them inspect selected options from the same step, including prices, availability and the properties or custom fields you choose to display.
Required steps, optional extras and quantity limits give the journey a clear structure. Conditional rules can reveal additional steps, select products or display helpful messages. Text, dimensions, colours, dates, engraving and service options extend the product selection. File and image uploads are stored in Shopware's private filesystem and can be downloaded through the authorised Administration action.
Let customers pick up where they left off
Customers can name and save a configuration, then share its link. Guest saving is available when you enable it, with an expiry based on your retention setting. Registered customers can reopen, duplicate and delete saved configurations on the optional customer account page.
When another visitor saves a shared configuration, the plugin creates a copy. Editing and saving an ordered configuration also creates a copy. Reopening a configuration evaluates its selection and prices against the current state of the store. A saved price is not a price guarantee.
Build and place it within administration
Manage steps, product sources, rules, prices and presets under Catalogues > Product configurators. Templates provide structures and examples to which you assign your own products. Choose Wizard, One Page or Compact and place the configurator on assigned product detail pages or in Shopping Experiences. Separate preset and summary elements provide additional CMS placement options.
The native cart keeps the components and quantities identifiable and lets customers edit the selection again. Order line snapshots preserve the configuration details. Flow Builder triggers for saving, valid addition to the cart and placing an order connect these moments to workflows you configure yourself.
Understand recorded usage
The built-in report shows tracked starts, valid completions, cart additions and orders, together with drop-off by step. Session identifiers are pseudonymised. By default, collection requires both the merchant setting and customer consent. Date and sales channel filters plus CSV export support further analysis. These metrics do not promise business results.
