About the Extension

Connect your Shopware flows to your systems and your team

A new order arrives, a payment is marked as paid or a customer submits a contact request. Advanced Flow Actions lets you turn suitable Shopware events into external HTTP requests, team notifications and delayed follow-up steps. Configure everything in the administration and Flow Builder.

Send the right data to external APIs

Use the HTTP/webhook action to send data to a reachable API endpoint or trigger a process in another system. Choose GET, POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE. Maintain headers, content type and body in a central webhook template. Twig variables provide content from the selected event. Template parameters let each Flow action supply different values while sharing the same body.

Basic auth, bearer tokens and API key headers are available for authentication. Configure the timeout, expected HTTP status codes and the number, status codes and wait times of HTTP retries in the webhook action. Connecting an ERP, CRM or another application requires a suitable receiving endpoint and its API configuration.

One template for Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord

Keep your team informed in the channels they use. A shared notification template can be selected in Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord actions. The plugin formats its title, message, status and optional button for each channel. Microsoft Teams delivery uses a configured workflow that processes the Adaptive Card.

Manage notification and webhook templates in Flow Notification Templates. Create German and English templates for common events or write your own. The administration provides event-specific variables, previews, validation and test sending with sample data. Action selectors offer active templates that match the action type and trigger.

Run follow-up steps later

Delay continuation pauses the remaining Flow sequence and schedules it in minutes, hours or days. Subsequent Shopware core and third-party actions can also be part of the continuation when they are executable in that flow. The original process does not wait for the delay to expire.

A scheduled task queues continuations that are due. Its default interval is five minutes. Actual execution depends on the scheduler, running workers and their workload. Delivery at an exact second is not guaranteed.

See what ran and handle failures

The Flow Action Monitor shows status, target, errors, the related sequence and individual HTTP attempts. Users with the required permission can requeue failed runs. Optional monitoring also records other Shopware core and third-party Flow actions. Visibility of transferred content depends on debug capture and the configured size limit.

Channel webhook URLs and authentication values are stored as encrypted secrets. HTTP targets can use either a direct URL or a secret URL. Set execution log retention between 1 and 180 days.

Execution options and requirements

External actions can run through the queue or immediately inside the flow. The queue is the default. It decouples the HTTP request but does not wait for the response before subsequent Flow steps proceed. Immediate execution waits for the request and any HTTP retries. Use the delay action when you need to pause the remaining sequence.

During the beta phase, we had the opportunity to test this plugin, and it immediately helped us close a major gap in transferring data to external systems, such as our ERP.

Set up Advanced Flow Actions

Install and activate: Install the plugin under Extensions > My extensions in your Shopware administration.

Create a template: Open Settings > Extensions > Flow Notification Templates. Use the menu beside New template to create German and English templates for common events. Select notification templates, webhook templates or both. You can also create a custom template.
Select trigger and type: Name the template, select the Flow trigger and set it to Active. The Discord / Slack / MS Teams type is a shared notification template. Webhook is the type for HTTP/webhook actions. Action dialogs offer active templates with the matching type and identical trigger.
Configure content: For notifications, enter a title, message, status and optional button with text and a valid HTTP(S) URL. For webhooks, define Headers (JSON) as an object, Content-Type and the full Body as a Twig template. Configure authentication in the Flow action. Authorization, Host and Content-Length are ignored in template headers. Webhook parameters can use text, number or yes/no values. Set their actual values in each action.
Check the preview: Open Variables and Preview in the sidebar. Copy suitable placeholders for the chosen trigger, inspect the sample data and select Preview / validate. A preview checks content against sample data; it does not confirm the actual production event.
Configure a flow: Open Automation > Flow Builder, edit a flow and select the Flow tab. Choose the Advanced Flow Actions group in the action selector. HTTP/Webhook call, Slack notification, MS Teams notification and Discord notification each require a matching template.
Set up HTTP/webhook: Select Method, template and Execution. Use a Direct URL or URL as secret. Fill in any template parameters. Configure Timeout (ms), Expected status codes, Retry attempts, Retry on status codes and Retry backoff in seconds. Use comma-separated numbers for code lists and wait times. If required, select Basic auth, Bearer token or API key header and enter the credentials.
Connect a notification channel: Select a shared notification template and enter the channel webhook URL. Slack requires an Incoming Webhook; Discord requires a channel webhook. Microsoft Teams requires a workflow with When a Teams webhook request is received and a step that posts an Adaptive Card using the trigger body. Check the service's current requirements. Saved channel URLs appear masked. Leave the field empty when editing to keep the saved URL.
Choose execution: Plugin default uses the global setting. Queue decouples the external request and requires a worker. Immediate waits inside the flow for the request and HTTP retries. Queue does not wait for the response before following Flow actions begin.

Add a delay: Place Delay continuation before the steps that should run later. Enter Amount and select Minutes, Hours or Days. Without a following step there is no continuation to schedule. Once due, the next scheduler run can queue the continuation.

Test, save and monitor: Use the template's test sidebar with a suitable public test target and fictional data only. A test sends a real HTTP request. Save and activate the flow, then trigger its event in a test environment. Open Settings > Extensions > Lunova Flow Action Monitor to inspect status, sequence and attempts. Users with edit permission can requeue failed runs. Repeating an action can repeat its external side effects.

Global plugin settings

Open the plugin configuration under Extensions > My extensions to set the default execution mode, HTTP timeout, additional HTTP attempts, User-Agent, log retention and maximum stored payload size. Enable Monitor all Shopware Flow actions to record other core and third-party actions too. Enable debug payload capture is off by default. Enable it selectively and consider that transferred content can contain personal data. Separate plugin permissions are available for viewing and editing.
