Create your designs directly in Shopware and decide which images receive them. Save time on repetitive editing and give your imagery a consistent brand identity.

Your branding stays in the image

Logos, text and icons are embedded directly into the image file. They remain visible when the processed file is downloaded or shared. Existing links to products and Shopping Experiences are preserved.

Watermarks, branding and AI labels in one designer

Combine your own logos and watermarks with text and the included EU AI icons. Move, resize and rotate individual layers directly on the canvas. Adjust opacity, text colour and positioning to suit your imagery, and use your own fonts for a consistent brand appearance. Preview your design on the sample image or your own photo, then check the rendered result before applying it.

Automatically target the right images

Create rules for individual media folders and include subfolders whenever needed. Select images by filename, alt text, title, tags, file extension or dimensions. Combine matching rules to apply your brand logo across a folder and add an AI icon only to images carrying a specific tag, for example.

New uploads and relevant media changes are checked in the background. Process existing images in batches directly from the folder configuration.

Keep your originals. Update your designs.

Original image backups are enabled by default and stored in Shopware's private filesystem. Regenerate updated designs from the original source and restore backed-up images whenever needed. You can also choose to preserve supported embedded image metadata.

Set up your image labelling

1. Activate the plugin and check original backups

Install and activate the plugin. Open Extensions → My extensions → Image Labels - Watermarks & AI Labels → Configuration and select All sales channels. Settings and image labels apply globally because Shopware media can be used across sales channels.

Keep original images is enabled by default. Leave this option enabled if you want to update designs or restore original images later.

2. Add your fonts

To use text layers, upload at least one suitable TTF or OTF file under Designer fonts, enter a display name and save the configuration. No fonts are included. Logos and icons can be used without configuring a font.

3. Select a media folder

Open Content → Media, select a folder and choose Configure image labels from its context menu or sidebar. Permission to edit media is required.

4. Create a rule and select your target images

Click Add rule. Under General, enter a name, enable Apply automatically and optionally enable Include subfolders. You can also choose to preserve supported image metadata here.

Use the Criteria tab to select which images match. Conditions within a group use AND; separate groups use OR. Multiple values within a condition provide alternatives. Without criteria, the rule matches all supported images within the selected folder scope.

For example, target an AI label using the tag you have assigned to your AI images. Selection follows your rules; the plugin does not automatically detect AI-generated content.

5. Design and save your label

In the Designer tab, add EU AI icons, your own images or text as layers. Store your logo assets in a separate media folder without labelling rules where possible. Position each layer and adjust its size, rotation and opacity.

Use Check rendered result to inspect the selected rule's output. Previews do not modify shop media. Click Apply rule, then Save in the overview. All active matching rules are combined, with inherited parent-folder rules applied first.

6. Process new and existing images

New uploads and relevant media changes are processed in the background through Shopware's message queue. A running worker for the async transport is required.

For your existing image library or after changing a design, select Process existing images. Keep the page open during batch processing. Saving a rule alone does not start a complete reprocessing run for existing images.

7. Restore an original

Select the relevant media item as the preview image in the designer and click Restore original. An original backup must be available. Disabling or deleting a rule does not automatically remove labels already embedded in image files. Active matching rules may apply labels again during a later processing run.

Technical requirements

Requires Shopware 6, PHP 8.2 or later, and GD with JPEG, PNG, WebP and FreeType support, plus EXIF, mbstring, DOM and zlib. Supported media are public JPEG, PNG and static WebP images up to 20 MiB and 16 megapixels. Animated images, SVG, GIF, AVIF, videos, private media and externally linked media are not processed. Export SVG logos as transparent PNG files before using them.
