About the Extension

Make your cart reflect your pricing conditions

Add a fee to smaller orders, offer a discount on goods or deduct a share of shipping costs. Fees & Discounts lets you manage these cart adjustments in the Shopware administration. You control when they apply, how they are calculated and how customers see them.

Choose the right calculation base

Use a fixed amount or calculate a percentage of the running cart value, total goods value or current shipping costs. Offer a goods discount independently of shipping, or create an adjustment specifically based on shipping costs.

Percentage adjustments support optional minimum and maximum amounts. These limits control the calculated fee or discount, rather than a minimum order value. To trigger an adjustment below a particular goods value, assign an appropriate Rule Builder condition.

Target your conditions and sales channels

Assign existing Shopware rules and select the sales channels where an adjustment should apply. All assigned rules must match. An active adjustment without rules has no additional rule condition. Leaving the sales channel selection empty makes it apply across all sales channels.

Combine adjustments in a clear order

Several matching adjustments can apply to the same cart. Higher priority is calculated first. Percentages of the entire cart include adjustments calculated earlier in their base. Percentages of goods or shipping use their respective bases. Use distinct priorities when the order matters to your pricing conditions.

Explain charges and savings clearly

Choose between summary display and separate cart line items in the plugin configuration. Summary display is the default. Translatable labels give each fee or discount a meaningful name. Optional descriptions appear as information hints in summary mode. You can also assign an image for display as a separate line item.

Select tax handling per adjustment

Choose a fixed tax class or calculate the adjustment in proportion to the taxes on the goods. Dynamic handling uses the goods tax distribution and retains multiple tax rates when the cart contains mixed rates.

Get started

Install and activate the extension, then open Settings > Extensions > Fees & Discounts. Create an adjustment and test matching and non-matching carts. Adjustments are calculated when the cart is recalculated. A cart without goods receives no adjustments, and percentage calculations need a positive base. Customers cannot remove automatically generated adjustments individually.

Configuration guide

Install and activate Fees & Discounts.
Go to Settings > Extensions > Fees & Discounts and select Add adjustment.
In General, configure Active, Label in cart and Internal identifier (cart position label). Enter a customer-facing label. When creating an adjustment, the internal identifier is generated from that label. You can edit it; it also serves as the fallback when no label is available.
Optionally add a Description and Line item image (optional). Descriptions appear as information hints in summary mode. The image is intended for display as a separate line item.
Set Priority. Higher numbers are calculated first. Use distinct values if the sequence matters. The plugin defines no additional sorting for equal priorities.
Assign existing rules under Conditions (Rule Builder). Every selected rule must match. An empty selection adds no rule condition. Create the required rules in Shopware's native Rule Builder first, for example a goods value condition.
Select Sales channels to limit where the adjustment applies. Leave this empty to include all sales channels.
In Calculation, choose Direction: Surcharge or Discount. Enter a positive Amount. The direction determines whether it is added or deducted.
Choose Type: Absolute amount for a fixed amount, Percentage amount of the entire cart for the running cart value, Percentage amount of line items for total goods value, or Percentage amount of shipping costs for current shipping costs. For percentages, Amount is the percentage rate. Earlier adjustments change the cart base, while goods and shipping bases remain independent of those adjustments.
For percentages, optionally enter Minimum amount and Maximum amount. Empty fields mean no limit. Use positive amounts and keep the minimum at or below the maximum. Example data: 10 percent of goods, at least EUR 5 and at most EUR 20. These limits apply to the calculated adjustment, rather than the goods value. A discount may also be capped at the remaining cart value. A zero base produces no percentage adjustment even when a minimum amount is configured.
In Taxes, select Tax handling: Fixed tax class with a selected Tax class, or Dynamic (proportional to cart taxes). Fixed handling requires a tax class. Dynamic handling uses the proportional tax distribution of goods.
Select Save. Then use the language selector to translate the label and description into additional configured shop languages. The language selector is disabled when initially creating an adjustment.
Go to Extensions > My extensions and open this plugin's configuration. Set Adjustment display mode to Show in summary, the default, or Show as line item. Select the relevant sales channel in the configuration if needed.
Test the cart, off-canvas cart and checkout with fictional data. Check matching and non-matching rules, channel restrictions, priorities and amount limits. Also remove the last product. Changes take effect when the cart is recalculated. Customers cannot remove adjustments individually.
