Sold codes are protected from changes. Balance in the customer account: Whoever redeemed a gift card also sees the remaining amount there. Shipping costs: Gift cards can also pay the shipping costs. Gift cards are the perfect last-minute present, and your shop benefits too. Recipients often spend more than the card's value, and at best new customers become regulars.

Built on Shopware promotions

Every gift card sold is a promotion code in Shopware. You work with the promotions you already know, and everything you set there also applies to your gift cards: Rule Builder conditions, sales channels, customer groups and combinability with other promotions.

Your design, your template

Upload your own PDF template and place the fields for code, value, expiry date and message via drag and drop in the visual editor, right on the gift card product. Set font, size, colour and alignment per field. Portrait or landscape follows automatically from the template.

A personal gift

On the product page, buyers enter who the gift card is from and who it is for, and add their own message. A preview shows right away what the gift card will look like.

Safe and automatic

The gift card and its code are only created and emailed once the order is paid. You define the code pattern, and the validity is calculated automatically based on the statutory period of three years until the end of the year. Sold codes are protected from accidental deletion.

International

Set up a separate template and field settings for each language. Gift card values are printed in every shop currency with the matching symbol.

In the customer account

1. Installation

Install and activate the plugin. This automatically creates the email template "MrpixVoucherMail". You can find it under Settings > Email templates and adjust its text and design there.

2. Create a promotion

Under Marketing > Promotions, create a separate promotion for each gift card value:

Activate the promotion and assign the desired sales channel
Under Codes, choose the type "Individual promotion codes". You don't need to generate codes in advance, the plugin creates them on purchase.
Under Discounts, add a cart discount: type "Absolute", value = gift card value, e.g. €50

All other promotion settings, such as Rule Builder conditions, customer groups or combinability with other promotions, automatically apply to the gift cards as well.

3. Create the gift card product

Under Catalogues > Products, create a product with the gift card value as its price. Since the gift card is delivered digitally, we recommend marking the product as free of shipping costs.

4. Design the gift card

Open the Gift card tab in the product:

Select the promotion from step 2
Upload your PDF template
Place the fields code, value, date and customer text on the template via drag and drop and resize them
Set font, size, colour and alignment per field
Optionally define a custom pattern for the gift card codes
Check the result with Preview and save

Once the "customer text" field is placed, buyers can enter sender, recipient and a message on the product page.

5. Additional languages

First set up the gift card completely in the system language. Then switch the language at the top of the product and set a separate template and field settings for each language. As long as a language is incomplete, the system language settings are used.

6. How it works in the shop

As soon as an order's payment status changes to Paid, the plugin creates the gift card and its code and emails the PDF to the buyer. All gift cards are also stored in the media management in the folder "mpxVoucher" and are available in the customer account and in the order in the admin. They are valid until the end of the third year after purchase.

7. mpXvoucher+ (optional)

Under Extensions > My extensions you can unlock mpXvoucher+ as an in-app purchase. After that:

Gift cards can be partially redeemed, the remaining balance is kept.
You can see remaining balances directly in the promotion's individual codes. Sold codes are protected from changes there.
