Instead of purely textual navigation lists, you get visually appealing category boxes with image, title, and link that can be perfectly adapted to your design.

What does the plugin do?

Visual Category Overviews
Display subcategories as attractive boxes with image and title – ideal for the homepage, category pages, and landing pages.
Automatic Content without Maintenance Effort
- Either choose an entry point category (e.g., "Women", "Men", "Sale").
- Or let the boxes automatically display the subcategories of the current category.
This keeps your teaser areas up to date without having to adjust content manually.
Perfectly Integrated into the Shop
The boxes link directly to your shop's categories and automatically pull in the category images if available.

Design Options for Shop Operators

1. Layout & Columns

Number of columns per device:
- Desktop: e.g., 3 or 4 columns
- Tablet: e.g., 2 or 3 columns
- Smartphone: e.g., 1 or 2 columns
Spacing (Gap) between boxes:
- Adjustable spacing values (e.g., 30 px) and units (px, rem, em)

This allows you to build custom grids that look clean on all devices.

2. Image Format & Display

Image Formats (Aspect Ratio):
- Predefined ratios such as 1:1, 3:2, 4:3, 16:9, 2:1, 2:3, 9:16
- Ideal for matching your tile look (e.g., square or panorama) to the shop design.
Image Hover Zoom (optional):
- Toggleable smooth zoom effect when hovering with the mouse
- Works in both the storefront and the administration preview

3. Text Position & Alignment

Text Position:
- Top: Title above the image
- Bottom: Title below the image
- Overlay: Title as an overlay directly on the image
Text Alignment:
- Left, centered, or right
- With "Text Top" and no background/border, the text is automatically aligned at the bottom edge of the box so that the tile looks visually balanced.
Overlay Position:
- Vertical: top, center, or bottom of the image
Perfect for choosing a highly legible position depending on the motif.

4. Colors & Backgrounds

Text Colors:
- Normal text color and text color in hover state
Background Colors (Box/Overlay):
- Background color for the category box or overlay
- Hover background color for box and overlay
- Fully transparent colors (e.g., #ffffff00) are also correctly recognized:
  - Transparent = no visible background
  - Radius and alignment only adjust when colors are actually visible

This allows you to design, for example, subtle tiles without a background or highly emphasized teasers with colored surfaces.

5. Borders & Corner Radius

Border Color & Hover Border Color:
- Border color of the box
- Separate border color in hover state
- If no visible color is set, no border will be displayed.
Individual Corners (Border Radius):
- Four individual values: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right
- Unit freely selectable (px, %, rem, …)
- Intelligent behavior:
  - If a visible background or border is set, the corners of the image are automatically adjusted so that the image and box look like a single unit (e.g., top straight, bottom rounded).
