MutoVariantsHoverView makes it possible: Simply hovering over variants (e.g., colors or images) instantly displays a large, clear preview right at the mouse cursor. This turns "searching" into intuitive discovery.

The extension offers practical configuration options to ensure the preview fits your shop perfectly:

Width & Height of the preview tile
Inner spacing (Padding) within the tile
Border: Color, width, and corner radius
Background color of the tile
Display mode for image variants (e.g., cropped or fully scaled)
Variant name below the preview: Optionally, the variant name (e.g., color or design) can be displayed in a separate bar below the image/color preview – with configurable text color and background color of the title bar.

Added optional variant name display in the hover box with three new config fields: show variant name (switch, default off), title text color, and title background color.
Introduced an inner container: image/color area now has its own bordered box; the title bar is rendered outside it, attached below.
When the variant name is shown: inner container has no bottom border and no bottom corner radius; the image has no bottom corner radius; the title bar has border-radius only on the bottom corners (no border, no padding inherited from the box).
Hover box layout uses flexbox so the title sits below the image/color area instead of overlaying it.
