About the Extension
With this plugin, you can transform the classic variant selection in Shopware into a clear, high-conversion table. Instead of dropdowns and hidden information, your customers get a clear, structured overview of all variants – including individual custom fields that you can define yourself.
What the plugin does for you
You transform the variant box of your product into a variant table where each variant is displayed in its own row. Depending on your configuration, the following can be displayed for each variant:
- Product image
- Product number
- Manufacturer number
- Variant characteristics (e.g., size, color)
- Stock level with traffic light logic
- Delivery time or "out of stock"
- Price and optional unit price
This allows your customers to compare variants much more easily and make the right choice faster.
Stock level with traffic light logic
To ensure your customers can see at a glance how well a variant is available, the table uses a traffic light logic for the stock level – specifically for clearance products that will not be reordered:
- Green: The item is sufficiently available – normal stock level without time pressure.
- Yellow: The stock level is below a threshold defined by you – the variant is still available, but stock is running low.
- Red: The variant is out of stock – it is clearly visible that there is currently no stock available.
For items that are not on clearance and can be reordered at any time, the display deliberately remains always green, regardless of the stock level – signaling clearly that these variants are permanently available. You can set the threshold at which "yellow" should be displayed for clearance items yourself in the configuration. This allows you to adapt the traffic light logic exactly to your clearance products and sales behavior, and your customers immediately understand the availability status.
Direct purchase from the table
The last column of each row contains the action column. Here, you can globally define the behavior you want:
- Either an "Add to shopping cart" button with a quantity field is displayed, allowing the variant to be added directly to the cart from the table.
- Or a link to the variant detail page is displayed if you want to focus more on the detailed view.
This setting applies to the entire table – so you decide whether your variant list should serve as a quick-buy list or as a convenient entry point to the detail view.
You decide which columns are visible
Not every piece of information is relevant for every shop. That is why you can individually control whether each standard column should be displayed in the plugin configuration. For example, you can show the manufacturer number if it is important for your target group or hide it if you want to focus on other info.
This gives you full control over the presentation – without having to touch any templates.
Custom fields as columns – your individual info in focus
A special highlight of the plugin is the listing of your custom fields as separate columns:
- You can display any product custom fields as additional columns in the table.
- Simply enter the technical names of the desired custom fields in the configuration – each field on a new line.
- The plugin reads the associated labels and displays them as column headers.
In this way, you can bring your own information to the forefront, for example:
- Material or surface type
- Internal color names
- Area of application (Indoor/Outdoor)
- Special properties or instructions
Your customers see this info directly in the variant table and don't have to search for it in long texts.
Especially in B2B shops, for example for spare parts, technical components, or consumables, the variant table shows its strengths: Your customers can conveniently compare many variants of a product (e.g., different sizes, lengths, or designs) and add several variants to the shopping cart in quick succession – without having to jump back and forth between detail pages and variant selections.
Flexible position of custom field columns
You determine at which position in the table your custom field columns appear. You can place them, for example:
- after the product image
- after the product number
- after the manufacturer number
- after the variant characteristics
- after the stock level
- after the delivery time
- after the price
Or you select "Do not display" if you currently do not want to use custom fields. This allows you to structure the table exactly as it makes the most sense for your products and your target group.
Visual fine-tuning to match your shop
The variant table should integrate seamlessly into your shop design. That's why you can directly in the configuration:
- adjust the background color of the table header,
- set the text color in the table header,
- control the border color of the table.
This ensures the table doesn't look like a foreign object, but like an integrated part of your theme.
Advantages for you and your customers
- Your customers see all variants structured and comparable in one table.
- You make important additional information (via custom fields) directly visible.
- You control how "ready-to-buy" the table is: with a direct "Add to cart" button or a link to the detail page.
- You can show and hide columns without having to intervene in the code.
- You adapt colors and presentation to your design, maintaining a harmonious overall image.
